Get in touch

Oh Hey!

Are you a Mum (like me) who brought home your squishy little bubba and thought “apparently I am meant to know what to do now” only to quickly find out we have no friggen idea?

Or maybe your baby is a little bigger now and you just think to yourself “What part of this is magical? Where are all the Mum’s at who thinks this fucking sucks sometimes too?”

Do you feel overwhelmed by mum guilt, the mental load and burnt out?

That’s why I created The Mum Fellowship.

“The english word “fellowship” is defined as companionship, friendly association, a mutual sharing: as of experience, interest or activity”

- Websters

Who am I?

My name is Natasha Fellows (Please call me Tash, unless I’m in trouble). I am the proud Mum of two gorgeous kiddos, a wife to a wonderful husband, a proud woman and beach-bum. We live in Mareeba, Far North Queensland on our little piece of paradise.

I had my first bub in 2019. I can vividly remember being told “you’ll just know what to do” all while being told that the way I was doing things was ‘’wrong”. I had so desperately wanted to be a Mum, and here I was, feeling alone, MAD mum guilt, exhausted, touched-out and constantly in-validated.

It took me 4 years to realise that idea of being a perfect Mum was literally IMPOSSIBLE, at least without completely burning myself out.

My service involves working through mum-guilt, overwhelm, taking things off your ever overflowing plate and working on self-compassion, as I whole-heartedly believe that these three components work hand in hand.

You want to feel empowered, positive and educated throughout your early postpartum weeks so that you can focus on bonding with your bubba.

I can support you in experiencing this by:

  • Working with you to create a postpartum plan
  • Provide emotional and educational support to help feel empowered in your transition to motherhood.
  • I will come to your home to hold space for YOU, while everyone else comes to hold the baby.

Scroll down to look at the doula packages. If you need to clarify, please get in touch to book in a free phone chat to discuss.

Who or what is a Doula?

“A postpartum doula provides evidenced-based information on things such as infant feeding, emotional and physical recovery from birth, mother-baby bonding, infant soothing, and basic newborn care. Research shows that moms, dads, and babies have an easier time with this transition if a good support team is in place.”

  • The American Pregnancy Association

What can this Doula do for you?

Before the baby is born, you have all of this advise with the best intentions. Heard “sleep when the baby sleeps” recently?

Everyone wants to come and see the new baby. Meanwhile you are exhausted, hungry, not sure when you showered last, maybe you have other children who also want your attention and you just feel utterly depleted. You are taking care of everyone else. Who takes care of you?

Thats where I come in. If you are within 30 minutes of Mareeba, I will come to you! If not, get in touch and I can offer you virtual support services.

I will come to your house and care for you. What does that look like?

  • Making you a cuppa and bringing you a snack.
  • Having a chat about whatever it is you need support with. Birth debriefing, all of the feelings that you are feeling.
  • Provide evidence-based information regarding you and your baby in the early weeks and months after birth including feeding, recovery and sleep.
  • Help out with older children (fur babies included) if they all need a snack, or play.
  • Cuddle or keep an eye on baby while you have a long hot shower, lunch or nap.
  • Light house duties such as hanging out washing and doing the dishes.

The Packages

In all three packages, the following is included:

  • One x 2 hour postpartum planning session in third trimester. This includes meal planning, feeding goals, village building support.
  • Text support during business hours for the duration of working together when you have questions, concerns or just need to have a safe listening ear.
